Ariyalur, TN, May 23: The Anna University-Tiruchi (AU-T) will be starting its constituent engineering college in this district from the current academic year in accordance with the announcement made in the State Assembly, University sources said.
Preliminary arrangements were underway and it had been decided to offer four under-graduate programmes --Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering-- with an intake of 60 students for each programme, the sources added. Initially, the college will be functioning at the premises of the Government Arts College here and later, it will be shifted to a new building.

Raja had assured to identify ten acre of land and mobilise Rs 20 crore through the Andimuthu-Chinnapillai Trust, named after his parents, the sources said.
