Tiruchendur (TN), Oct 22 : Thousands of devotees are expected to throng the famous Senthil Andavar temple here, one of the six abodes of Lord Muruga, tomorrow evening on the occasion of "Soorasamharam", the main event of the week-long "Kandha Sashti" festival.
The festival began on Oct 18 with Yaga Sala pooja when lakhs of devotees across the state began their "sashti vridham", which also ends tomorrow.
Special buses are being operated from Madurai, Tirunelveli, Aruppukottai, Tuticorin and Nagercoil to Tiruchendur to cope up the heavy rush of pilgrims tomorrow, an official press release said.
A special Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli train would be run tommorrow.
Temple authorities had made elaborate arrangements for the dharshan of Lord muruga during the "Soorasamharam" event to be held on the sea shore when the demon Sooran would be killed by Swami Jayanthinathar (Muruga).
