HAL Kasaragod II Phase to Cover More Fighter Planes

    

Bangalore, Nov 19 : Public-sector aircraft maker Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) today said its latest facility at Kasaragod in Kerala, which was inaugurated by Defence Minister A K antony, would emerge as self-sustained independent division with the completion of the second phase of the project.

HAL Chairman R K Tyagi, in a release here today, said the new facility would eventually lead to self-sustained independent Division on getting the production and maintenance work for the avionics of Medium Multi-role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA), Mirage-2000 upgrade programs and software defined radios. 'The new factory will bring prosperity to the region and will help company take a big leap in aerospace equipment manufacturing. God's own country is now HAL's another home,' he added.
