CSE index slumps 1,262 points in weekly trade

    
Kolkata, Nov 7 The Calcutta Stock Exchange benchmark index lost further 1,262 points during the week in volatile trading.

The benchmark CSE-40 index was down by 423.74 points in the previous week.

The index had opened at 7141.11 and dropped to 6924.87 in the two trading session. On Thursday the index recovered to 7007.97.

However, the market failed to hold to its gains and in the last trading session the index slumps to 5879.11 to finish the week.

Amclukie Investment was at Rs 294.10. ONGC finished the the week lower at Rs 1,159 and Larsen & Toubro was down to Rs 1,535.

OMDC was down to Rs 2,3700 at end of the week. Reliance Industries eased to Rs 1,956 and State Bank of India was at Rs 2,220 at close.

Twenty-First Century was at Rs 290.15. Tycoon Trades & Investment was at Rs 126.15.
