Jammu, Nov 17 Vehicular traffic on Jammu-Srinagar
National Highway, the only surface link between Kashmir and
rest of the country, came to a halt this evening following a
landslide.
The landslide occurred near Sher Bibi, nearly 175-km
from here, in Ramban district at around 1715 hrs, police said.
Hundreds of vehicles were left stranded as vehicular
traffic on both sides of the highway came to a grinding halt,
they said.
The Border Roads Organisation was on the job to clear
the highway of stones and rocks to ensure free flow of road
traffic. - (Agencies)
