New Delhi, Nov 4 Activities of Maoists along the
border, smuggling of fake Indian currency notes and border
management are high on the agenda at the Home Secretary level
talks between India and Nepal beginning in Kathmandu on
Friday.
Home Ministry sources said the Indian delegation, led by
Home Secretary G K Pillai, will seek cooperation from the
Himalayan nation on all security issues, especially Maoists
and FICN, during the two-day meeting.
India will try to chalk out a strategy with its eastern
neighbour on issues relating to internal security and
management of 1,751-km-long porous border.
Govind Prasad Kusum, Home Secretary of Nepal, will lead
the delegation at the talks.
India had expressed concern over the growing problem of
circulation of fake currency notes to Nepal Prime Minister
Madhav Kumar Nepal during his visit here in August. - (Agencies)
