New Delhi, Nov 3 Sanam Singh returned to the
professional circuit in syle, toppling eight seed Kaden Hensel
in a tough three setter to qualify for the main draw of the
ATP Challenger event in Charlottesville, US.
The two time Champion of the US' Intercollegiate Tennis
Association Summer Championships, Sanam got the better of his
Australian opponent 6-2 1-6 7-5 in the third and final
qualifying round of the US 50,000 event.
Before beating Kaden, the Indian had shocked third seed
Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania in the first round.
Sanam will take on sixth seed Grega Zemlja of Slovakia in
the first round of the main draw, which also has Indi's numero
uno singles player Somdev Devvarman. - (Agencies)
