Tiruchirapalli, May 5 : The 144th Maharishi Vidya Mandir School will come up at Sri Raja Rajeswari Township at Ennai village near Illuppur in Pudukkottai district of Tamil Nadu, during the current academic year, according to S Namasivayam, Treasurer and Senior Principal of Maharishi Vidya Mandir group of schools Chennai.
He told newsmen here today that the new school will be opened on June 15 next. To start with, the school would have classes from kindergarten to standard VIII. He said 50,000 sq ft building was coming up in an area of four acres and would be ready in time for the opening of the school in mid-June.
He said the school would follow the CBSE syllabus and the institution has applied for a no objection certificate from the State government and would seek the Central Board of Secondary Education approval on obtaining the same. The school would adopt a gurukul environment even while adopting latest methodology of education, he added.
Chairman and Managing Director of Sri Raja Rajeswari Township R R Gopalji who was also presented at the press conference, said the township has been designed with many exciting amenities that will ensure a comfortable and carefree living. He said the infrastructure of the township is firmly put in place.
It is well connected by road from Pudukkottai, Tiruchirapalli and Madurai. A large number of reputed industries, educational institutions, schools and hospitals were located closely to the township, he added.
