Aligarh, Nov 5 Six students of the Aligarh Muslim
University (AMU) have been suspended for misconduct and
indiscipline during last week's agitation at the campus over
the killing of an undergraduate student.
They have been charged with misconduct and indiscipline
under the AMU students rule 1985.
The six have also been accused of delivering inflammatory
speeches against senior university officials, including the
Vice-chancellor and trying to disturb the campus peace by
inviting student leaders from the JNU and Delhi University for
participating in the agitation.
The suspended students include Irfan Khan, Mohammad
Faizan Khan, Adil Hussain, Ahmedullah Baig, Tanzeel Ahmed and
Mohammad Ibrahim.
The six, who belong to the recently formed AMU students'
corrdination committee, were involved in last week's agitation
at the campus over the killing of an undergraduate student on
October 25.
They are presently holding a 'dharna' at the Jantar
Mantar in New Delhi. - (Agencies)
