Six AMU students suspended for misconduct, indiscipline

Aligarh, Nov 5 Six students of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) have been suspended for misconduct and indiscipline during last week's agitation at the campus over the killing of an undergraduate student.

They have been charged with misconduct and indiscipline under the AMU students rule 1985.

The six have also been accused of delivering inflammatory speeches against senior university officials, including the Vice-chancellor and trying to disturb the campus peace by inviting student leaders from the JNU and Delhi University for participating in the agitation.

The suspended students include Irfan Khan, Mohammad Faizan Khan, Adil Hussain, Ahmedullah Baig, Tanzeel Ahmed and Mohammad Ibrahim.

The six, who belong to the recently formed AMU students' corrdination committee, were involved in last week's agitation at the campus over the killing of an undergraduate student on October 25.

They are presently holding a 'dharna' at the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
