Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 20 : Vigilance officials seized 630 bags of rice, worth more than Rs.6 lakh, while being transported illegally and arrested two persons in this connection.

Vigilance Superintendent of Police Ammi Reddy said that on a tip off, the vigilance officials intercepted two lorries at Mangaligiri-Tenali Cross, at Mangalagiri, in the district. The rice was being transported from Martur in Prakasham District to Mangapet in East Godavari District. A case was registered and investigation is on, he said.
