Tirumala, Dec 17 : Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD), the administrators of the world famous Sri Venkateswara temple, here have made elaborate arrangements for darshan and accommodation for pilgrims who would throng the hill shrine for darshan on the auspicious day of 'Vaikuntha Ekadasi' on December 23.
Queue lines with timings and compartments for pilgrims have been designated for 'Divya Darshan' for pilgrims coming on foot. Pilgrims for 'Sarva Darshan' for Rs 300 and VIP pilgrims will be allowed to enter these queue lines only during that time, TTD Joint Executive Officer (Tirumala) KS Sreenivasa Raju said in a release here today. Pilgrims waiting for 'Divya Darshan' will be allowed to enter the queue lines only after 0400hrs. Twelve ticket counters have been allotted at Alipiri and eight at Srivari Mettu.
He said 'Sarva darshan' pilgrims will be allowed to the queue lines only after 0500 hrs and Rs.300 ticket holders after 0800 hrs. The VIP darshan slot will be from 0145 hrs to 0500 hrs. Every VIP and his entourage members would have to compulsorily bring Photo ID-cards, he said.
