Gopuja held

    

Tirupati, Nov 21 : As a part of the second phase of Managudi Programme scheduled to take place across the state on November 28, Gopuja Mahotsavam was celebrated at TTD-run Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple here today.

In his address, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive officer LV Subramanyam, who took part in the religious fete, said the cow was considered to be the holiest being on the earth and hence the Hindus worshipped it as mother. He said the puja was performed at almost 400 temples across the state.

Earlier, the EO along with TTD Tirupati JEO P Venkatrami Reddy performed Gopuja. Similarl pujas were held at TTD-run SV Gosamrakshana Shala, Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple, Kapileshwara Swamy Temple, Padmavathi Ammavaru Temple, Srinivasamangapuram Temple and Appalayagunta.
