ASHA workers stage dharna demanding minimum wages

    

Kakinada, Nov 19 : A large number of ASHA workers staged dharna in front of East Godavari District Collectorate here today protesting against the inordinate delay in releasing their monthly incentive and settling their other pending demands.

They also raised slogans demanding implementation of minimum wages, payment of additional wages for extra work, insurance facility and according recognition as ANMs. Later, led by K. Krishnaveni and S M. Eastare Rani President and Secretary, respectively of the union called on the Collector Neethu Kumari in a delegation and presented a memorandum listing out their demands.
