Two extortionists working for Bajrangi arrested

New Delhi, Nov 3 Two alleged extortionists working for gangster Munna Bajrangi were today arrested by the Delhi Police from Mumbai and Varanasi.

Miraj Hussain was arrested from Varanasi and Iftikhar Sheikh was nabbed in Mumbai by separate teams of Delhi Police's Special Cell, according to a senior official of the department.

He said Sheikh was allegedly looking after Bajrangi gang's extortion racket in Mumbai while Miraj was looking after the same in Varanasi.

Bajrangi, a close aide of politician Mukhtar Ansari, was caught by a joint team of Delhi Police's Special Cell and Uttar Pradesh Police on October 29 this year in connection with the murder of a BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh Krishnanand Rai in 2004 in Mumbai.

The elusive gangster was staying under a fake name Prem Singh in Malad in the western metropolis.
