Vigilance week at BHEL

    

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 29: Mr AV Krishnan, Executive Director of the public sector Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) here, called up on the workers for more transparency in transactions and for clear documentation.

Mr Krishnan made this call while inagurating Vigilance Awareness Week at BHEL here today and also said observation of Vigilance Awareness Week was aimed at reminding, educating and reinforcing the integrity and fairness in our system. He appreciated transparency initiatives such as on-line systems, bar coding systems, automated business processes at the Unit. Mr K Ramachandran, General Manager/Commercial (FB) & C&PR administered the vigilance pledge in English, C Mani, General Manager/Health, Safety & Environment Management in Tamil and Mr VK Verma, General Manager/PCPS in Hindi amongst the gathering.

In his address, Mr HS Nagabhushana, General Manager/Vigilance stressed the importance of Preventive Vigilance through Training Programme to educate the employees and informed that a special lecture on 'Transparency in Public Procurement' by Dr Prafulla Agnihotri, Director/Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli is being organized during Vigilance Awareness Week.
