Kochi, Nov 20 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today demanded full-fledged investigation into alleged 'amassing of Rs 3,000-crore wealth' by Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra 'within a span of three years.'
Releasing 'documents on Vadra-DLF deals' at a press meet here, Party MP Kirit Somaiya charged the 'net worth of Mr Vadra went upto Rs 3,000 crore from just Rs 57 lakh in just three years.' Stating Mr Vadra belonged to a small trading family till 2007 end and suddenly became realtor multiplying his wealth several fold in no time, he alleged. 'Will the Congress explain to the people of India the formula of such pehenomenal growth?' he asked.
Claiming three more major scandalous transactions of Mr Vadra had come out, he alleged Vadra-DLF had recently formed six new companies within just three months. Expressing surprise that all these companies were agro-based, he said the total paid up capital of the companies formed by Mr Vadra along with Mr Amith Mehta of DLF, was just Rs six lakh.
