Hyderabad, Nov 5 A final year college student today allegedly committed suicide while another girl attempted to kill herself here, police said.

B Anusha (19), B.Com final year student of a private college at Somajiguda, had been upset over alleged humiliation meted out by her some classmates, they said.

She informed her father Prasanna Kumar this morning about the harassment, who promised her that he will visit the college tomorrow to complain to the college authorities.

But immediately Anusha sent an SMS to her father saying she was going to die and jumped from the fourth floor of the college building, police said.

She was taken to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

In another incident, a first-year student of a college -- B Swarnalatha -- attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills, police said.
