Fire breaks out at BPCL office

    

Chennai, Nov 20  A fire broke out at the office of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (NPCL)'s Southern Head Office in the city, today. Police and Fire and Rescue Service Department sources said there were no casualties.

Some documents and computers were gutted in the fire which broke out in the first floor of the building located at the upmarket Anna Nagar area in the city. Nerly ten fire tenders rushed to the spot and put out the fire.

The fire in the four-storeyed building on 15th Main Road broke out at around 0930 hrs. While some staff members ran out on noticing the smoke, others were evacuated immediately. The company declared a holiday for the day following the fire mishap, the cause of which was being probed.
