New Delhi, Nov 5 The national capital recorded 26
fresh cases of dengue today, the highest in a single day
this season, taking the total number of those suffering from
the vector-borne disease to 464.
With this, over 70 new cases of the disease have been
reported in the city in the last three days.
"Twenty-six more patients have tested positive for
dengue, taking the number of cases this season to 464,"
Municipal Health Officer, MCD, N K Yadav told PTI.
Delhi has seen a surge in the number of dengue cases with
the last 10 days registering over 20 cases per day on an
average. Two persons have died due to the disease so far.
Last year, 1,070 dengue cases and two deaths were
reported in the city.
Yadav said the number of cases could show a downward
trend once winter sets in. - (Agencies)
