Puducherry, Dec 24 : Floral tributes were paid to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and the founder of AIADMK M G Ramachandran on the occasion of his 25th death anniversary here today.

Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, his cabinet colleagues, Speaker V Sababathi and legislators were among those who garlanded a statue of the late actor turned-politician on behalf of the Puducherry administration. After garlanding the statue at the party headquarters AIADMK functionaries and cadres led by Pondy Secretary A Anbazhagan took out a silent procession and garlanded the statue.

The Chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues, Speaker, leaders of DMK and AIADMK also garlanded the statue of rationlist leader Periyar E V K Ramasamy, fondly called ' Thanthai Periyar', to mark his death anniversary.
