Modi is undergoing treatment at his residence. He had complained of cough, fever and bodyache on October 30 after his return from Russia and was tested positive for H1N1 virus the same day.

The pooja was also performed for the recovery of senior BJP Leader E Ganesan, who is recuperating after heart surgery at Chennai, party sources said.

A large number of BJP workers, led by State Vice-President Elangovan participated in the pooja. They later said that the prasadam would be sent to both leaders. - Agencies
