Two TN cueists for world snooker championship,Vidya Pillai to referee

    

Chennai, Nov 21 : In a development that could be seen as a fillip to the development of the cue sports in the state, Tamil Nadu's Rafath Habib, former Asian Gold Medalist and Nadeem Ahmed, the current state champion and no.2 will represent India in the world masters snooker championship to be held at Sofia in Bulgaria from November 24 t0 December 2.

The two cueists qualified for the event in the selection camp conducted at Karnataka Snooker & Billiards Association (KSBA) in Bangalore earlier this month, according to a communique from Tamil Nadu Billiards and Snooker Association (TNBSA) here today.

In addition, Vidya Pillai, former no.3 World Ladies Snooker Champion and former Ladies Snooker National Champion, M Baskaran and Sesu Edward Kennedy, also from Tamil Nadu, will officiate in the International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF) World Snooker Championship 2012 that includes world snooker championship, world ladies snooker championship, and world masters snooker championships, TNBSA Secretary R Madusudhanan said in the communique.
