Puducherry,Oct 8 : Different Tamil organisations here today staged a road blockade agitation at a busy junction here and courted arrest.
The agitation was to condemn the Sri Lankan military chief Sanath Jayasurya for his statement that more military officials would be sent to India for training. Led by Tamizhar Desiya Iyyakkam, the volunteers gathered near the kamraj statue and shouted slogans against Sri Lanka and blocked traffic. Police swung into action and arrested 40 of them.
