Good start for Indian cagers in Asian Indoor Games

    
Hanoi (Vietnam), Nov 3 Indian cagers went off to a flying start in the third Asian Indoor Games with both the men and women team winning two matches each respectively at the Chi-Minch City here.

Indian men's team came out with all-round performance to overcome Qatar 34-16 in their campaign opener and then quelled the spirited challenge from Kuwait 34-30.

Meanwhile, the woman hoopsters got the better of Jordon (34-22) and then went on to register a facile 33-13 victory over hosts Vietnam in the three-on-three format.

Hareesh Koroth, Vishesh Bhriguvanshi and Dinesh Venugopal led the charge for Indian men's team in both the encounters at the 10-day event.

On the other hand, their women counterparts banked on the experience of Geethu Anna Jose, while Anitha Paul Durai, Prashanti Singh and Raspreet Sidhu also chipped in with vital contributions.
