'Missing' IIT student returns after two months

    
Kanpur, Nov 5 The authorities of IIT- Kanpur will take strict disciplinary action against a student who has returned after disappearing from the campus two months ago.

Arko Ray, a fourth year BTech Computer Engineering student who was missing from the campus for past two months did not take any official permission nor informed the adminstration before leaving the campus.

A missing report was filed on Oct 18 at Kalyanpur Police Station, IIT -Kanpur Registrar Sanjeev Kalsekar told PTI.

Ray who hails from Durgapur had gone to Delhi for his VISA related work, where he befriended a British girl and since then he did not return to the institute nor informed his parents, Kalsekar said.

The couple travelled all over India, he added.
